One of my biggest fears when trying to find a side job was being underqualified. When you've worked for yourself for years, it feels like anything outside of your own field is impossible. The truth, however, is that the skills you develop in your specialty often have wider applications than you may realize.
I don't want to get into too much detail about my side gig, but it turned out to involve working at conventions and tradeshows in a manner similar to this. When I understood that, I immediately knew I could handle it.
