At MAGFest this year, I got hit with this pretty hard. From Wednesday night to Saturday afternoon, I was around people pretty much all the time, be they friends or random strangers at the con. Saturday evening, I was going a little crazy. So despite the freezing weather, I stepped outside for about five minutes. MAN did that recharge my batteries.
The moral of the story is: introverts, watch yourself for burnout and get the hell away from people when you need to, there's no shame in it. You're not required to be at the con doing stuff 24/7, and taking breaks will help you enjoy the time you do spend at the con more. And extroverts, if one of your friends peaces out unexpectedly or says they need space, it's nothing personal, it's a mental health thing.
