Some of you may find this strip familiar. It's a sequel to last year's New Year's strip and reuses a number of the panels. While this may seem like schlocky laziness, I do have reasons for this choice:
- People had such a positive reaction to the original strip that making it an annual tradition made sense.
- Since Ray, the photographer, is rarely in costume, I don't get many opportunities to draw him differently. I've kind of implemented the classic cartoon one-outfit-per-character rule with him, with one notable exception: every year at New Years, I will change his shirt color, and it will stay that way until the end of the year. Spices things up, and may make it easier to track the different eras of my work after CosPain has been running for fifty years and has made me bajillions of dollars.
- I am, in fact, a lazy schlock.
