When I was thumbnailing this strip, I actually got really sad. In my time as a creator, I've learned that, when something you're creating has that kind of emotional impact on you, you've got a winner. Even though I hope it's more funny than sad, the sadness can really accentuate it. I like to think that Rebis got to meet them properly at a signing later.
