My last con was the Indie Comics Fair at the Ace of Cups, which is a really cool bar in Columbus. It's a weird venue for a con, but I really like it. The traffic was pretty low, but a higher percentage of the people who stopped by were interested in what we were doing.
For those of you who drink, it can also be nice having a little something while tabling. I wouldn't recommend anything excessive; I cut myself off after a beer. But that little bit of extra looseness and relaxation can really help your sales game.
