Back when I started tabling, I thought I HAD to have fanart prints. While I still make fanart for fun on occasion, I have almost entirely removed prints from my inventory. They can be a great moneymaker, but I realized I didn't like selling them, and I wasn't putting as much care and effort into them as a result.
That's not meant to be a dig at people who genuinely love fanart and do well selling it. It's more a commentary on sales philosophy. I am not the type of person that can push sales on something I don't care about, and I care about my comics more than I care about my prints.
This is the first official strip (outside of "Disaster Cons") to feature Ivy! We got a peek at her before, but now we get to see how she runs a table! My idea for Ivy is that she comes from zine fests and indie shows, and larger cons like the ones usually depicted in CosPain are new to her. I'm hoping she'll give me the opportunity to talk about smaller alternative shows, since many of the people who read this comic may not even know they exist. Regardless, it's very exciting to have a new character to play with!
