"Comfort" is certainly a relative term. Many cosplay outfits are awkward and impractical, but they can also represent the shedding of an uncomfortable persona. Clunky high-heeled boots and revealing garments can be far preferable to the social baggage of feeling judged in your professional facade. Or so I've been told, as I favor comfortable cosplay shoes.
HOLY CRAP YOU GUYS IT'S THE 200TH STRIP. I knew it was coming, had the comic order planned out for weeks, and it STILL caught me by surprise. Combined with the fact that the Less Than Secret Kickstarter just wrapped, it's been one hell of a crazy month.
Thank you for reading my silly little weebcomic. CosPain started in July 2017, which means I've worked on this project longer than I've worked on any of my previous creative endeavors. I can hardly believe how much this has changed my life for the better.
The 200th strip is a major accomplishment for another reason. I have been working on compiling a collection that I can show to publishers, and in my calculations, 200 was the magic number. That was how many strips I needed to fill out a full book. Now that we're here, it's time to take this comic to the next level.
I intend to maintain the weekly update schedule you've come to expect for now. It won't decrease, but I'm planning to do special stories outside of the strip format for the book, and any that get publicly posted may require their own special schedule.
Big things are coming, but as long as you keep enjoying CosPain, I'll keep making more.
Rock on, guys, and never stop drawing.
