We've all experienced some version of this in the last couple of years. For me, it was MAGFest 2022. While it wasn't actually cancelled, I, and basically all of my friends that had planned on attending, were forced to drop it at the last minute because of the Omicron variant numbers getting alarmingly high. MAGFest is one of my favorite cons, so I could've used some sadness wine right about then.
