Rock on, guys, and never stop drawing.

With my recent announcement about CosPain, I've decided to use tonight's stream to get some work done! Tune in to the BWHComics Twitch channel at 8pm ET while I work on art for the Patreon-exclusive story "A CosPain Carol (but for Halloween)" and chat about ... stuff! I'll be joined by channel favorite Kelci D. Crawford, who I'm sure will question why I'm promising people a page a day for a month.
Rock on, guys, and never stop drawing.

CosPain may be on a brief hiatus, but that doesn't mean we're dropping this tradition!
For the uninitiated, here's the deal: since Ray isn't a cosplayer, he doesn't get to wear a ton of different outfits. That's why I hold an annual public poll to pick Ray's new shirt color for the coming year. The winner will be revealed with the New Year's Comic (another annual tradition of mine). To access the poll, please visit the BWHComics Patreon page. You do not need to be a current Patron to participate in the poll. This year, the poll will only run for one week, closing on Tuesday, December 17th, at 11:59pm ET. Make sure your voice is heard! Rock on, guys, and never stop drawing. Those of you who caught my recent CosPride! Impromptu Art Livestream will recognize this illustration. While this moment is technically non-canonical, the flags do accurately reflect the gender identities and sexual orientations of the portrayed characters. It's a piece I've wanted to draw since Pride Month, but I was inspired to finally make it by recent events.
This year has been tough, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community need our support now more than ever. They are your friends, your family, your coworkers, your acquaintances. Real people are afraid. Real people need help. Real people need a safe space where their right to exist is not in question, and I am committed to keeping the BWHComics community as one of those safe spaces. And I can do that because of your support. So in order to thank you, and to give back a little, I am giving any Patron at any paid tier that requests it a 5.5"x8.5" print of CosPride, free of charge. Please DM me to let me know you're interested by December 1st so we can coordinate it. In addition, I will be making a donation to the Trevor Project to support LGBTQIA+ youth in crisis for each Patron that requests a print. We are also currently running a fundraiser for them through the BWHComics Twitch Channel, so if you also want to donate directly, you can do so through a link on the main page. To every member of the BWHComics and CosPain community, know that you are loved. You are wanted. You are welcome as you are, and we'll all get through this together. Rock on, guys, and never stop drawing. Since CosPain is in the middle of a romantic storyline, it felt timely to wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day! And if you forgot that was today, hurry and go get flowers. MP and Gary will cover for you!
Rock on, guys, and never stop drawing. A new year, a new chance for Ray to switch up his wardrobe, and HE NEEDS YOUR HELP!
For the new people, an explanation: Ray, not being a cosplayer, is one of the only characters in CosPain who doesn't get to wear tons of different outfits. I've therefore made it an annual tradition to let the public vote for his new shirt color for the coming year, and revealing the winner with the annual New Year's comic. I'm fond of this, as it gets you involved and makes it easier for future comics historians to pinpoint CosPain strips to specific time periods, which will be useful once the robots blow everything up and my comics must be recovered from the remains of discarded CPUs. The polls will close on Thursday, December 14th, and is open to both Patrons and non-Patrons. I look forward to getting your feedback! For the uninitiated, one of my annual CosPain traditions is the New Year's comic. In addition to adding a mood-setting celebratory panel to the set, I take the opportunity to change Ray's shirt color for the year (since Ray doesn't wear as many costumes as everybody else). Now, you have the opportunity to help me pick that color! The poll will close on Monday, December 19th. While it is being run through my Patreon, you do NOT need to be a Patron to participate. I look forward to getting your feedback! Poll Link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/75834284 Rock on, guys, and never stop drawing. Hi guys!
Ohayocon is coming up this weekend, and I've had three panels approved! I'm excited to be returning to in-person events, and we're coming back with a bang! Here's the lineup: FRIDAY
12:30 AM (technically Saturday) - Hayes (Panel 7) SATURDAY
8:30 PM - Taft C-D (Panel 3) SUNDAY
10:00 AM - Taft C-D (Panel 3) Beyond panel scheduling, there is one other relevant item I want to bring up. I do not officially have a table in the Artist Alley, but Ohayocon has an unusual policy this year: they've given me the opportunity to apply for a last-minute table in the event that anyone fails to show up to claim theirs. I could be notified at the very last minute of its availability. So fair warning, there's a chance I'll be announcing a table with very little notice (if I get very lucky)! Fingers crossed! Rock on, guys, and never stop drawing. In case you missed them, here are the replays of my CosPain livestreams from this past weekend! Hope you enjoy!
I had originally planned to hold off on releasing a CosPain collection until I had enough strips for a full-sized book. After receiving some sage advice, however, I decided that having a smaller booklet sooner was a better solution. To that end, I present to you the first CosPain booklet!
This volume contains the first 25 strips, printed in high quality in a pocket-sized edition. The retail price is $10. You can buy your own copy here. |
