Just off the edge of reality, where we can’t be sure what is real and what isn’t, lie cryptids! Creatures of science and myth, they range from the terrifying, like the Jersey Devil; to the mysterious, like the Mothman; to the downright bizarre, like the Fresno Nightcrawler.

Less Than Secret is a black-and-white comics anthology celebrating cryptids in all their forms! We have brought together some of the best up-and-coming artists to share their takes on these mysterious beings with seven stories that feature horror, comedy, and everything in-between!

For those of you who are unaware, I've been working on a secret project for the last year.  I've worked with anthologies before as a contributor, and even as a book designer; this time, however, my fantastic creative partner Rainer Kannenstine and I have been running an anthology as co-organizers.  We're in the final legs of it, which is why I'm excited to announce that the Kickstarter to fund the first print run launches this Saturday, April 3rd, at noon EDT!

We've been working on this project in relative secrecy since last summer, and it is incredible to finally be able to share it.  This has been one of the most incredible creative experiences I've ever had, and I can't wait to see what you think of it.

I had originally planned to hold off on releasing a CosPain collection until I had enough strips for a full-sized book.  After receiving some sage advice, however, I decided that having a smaller booklet sooner was a better solution.  To that end, I present to you the first CosPain booklet!

It has been a while since my last update, but that has not been for a lack of activity.  My efforts have simply been focused on my latest project.  Recently, the art was completed, which means we are in the final stages.  It is therefore time to announce:

The Letters of the Devil is a whodunit graphic novel.  Mystery is a passion of mine, and one of my greatest desires is to see more English-native cartoonists take on the challenge of tackling a genre that is underrepresented in the medium.

The current plan is to release this work as a digital graphic novel, but I am also investigating print options.  Either way, expect a more official announcement in the first quarter of 2017.

The Center for Cartoon Studies has released an anthology about veterans' experiences returning from service, and I had the honor of offering technical assistance on one of the stories by Kotaline Jones and Tom Marino.  This is a project well worth your time.  Check it out here.
