When the theater's star attraction has to be hospitalized, Annie, her understudy, finds herself thrust into the lead role under worrisome circumstances. As she copes with a hostile director, a skeptical cast, and the shadow of her predecessor, she begins to see the mysterious Man in Green, the supposed ghost of the theater, watching her from the back row. Is he a figment of her imagination? A prank being played by the cast and crew? Or is Hell's casting agent seeing if she has what it takes to go all the way?
